How to Crochet - Moss Stitch

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to my blog. We have completed the beginner lessons & are now checking out some simple patterns that use the stitches we have learnt so far. In case you haven't seen the beginner lessons, you can find them all right here.

Today we're gonna do the Moss Stitch. The Moss Stitch is a super easy stitch, works up very fast an can be used for a variety of projects.

For this tutorial, I'm using Laura Knitting Cotton, a 3ply cotton yarn, along with a 4.00mm hook.

To begin, chain in multiples of 2, I have chained 14.

Skip the first 3 chains, into the 4th cain from the hook, make 1 sc.

Now, ch 1, skip 1, and make 1 sc into the next chain.

Continue working this way, *ch 1, skip 1, sc in the next ch* till the end of the row.

To start row 2, ch 2 & turn

Skip the first sc, make 1 sc into the ch1 space.

For the rest of the row, *ch1, sc in the next ch space* till the end. Your last sc should be into the ch 3 we skipped at the beginning of row 1.

Keep repeating this row for as long as you need.

There you go, you've learnt the Moss Stitch now! You can find the video tutorials right here.
