Mini Christmas Stocking - Free Pattern

Materials:
2.5mm aluminium hook
Light Weight yarn - red & white

Instructions:

R1
Ch 11, Sc into the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in the next 8 ch's. 3 sc into the last ch. Turn your project so you can work along the other side of the foundation chain. Sc in the next 9 stitches.  Sl st on top of the first sc. [21 SC]

R2 & R3
Ch1, 1 Sc in each sc around. Sl st on top of the first sc. [21 SC]

R4
Ch1, Sc in the next 8 sc, sc5tog, Sc in the next 8 sc, Sl st on top of the first sc. [17 SC]

R5
Ch1, Sc in the next 6 sc, sc5tog, Sc in the next 6 sc, Sl st on top of the first sc. [13 SC]

R6
Ch1, Sc in the next 5 sc, sc3tog, Sc in the next 5 sc, Sl st on top of the first sc. [11 SC]

R7
Ch1, Sc in the next 5 sc, sc2tog, Sc in the next 4 sc, Sl st on top of the first sc. [10 SC]

Due to the angle of the stitches, the stocking tends to curl a bit. You can insert a piece of cardstock or plastic before starting the next row.

R8-12
Ch1, 1 Sc in each sc around. Sl st on top of the first sc. [10 SC]

At the end of R12 join white yarn for the cuff.

R13
Ch1, 2sc in the same stitch, sc in the next 4 sc, 2sc in the next sc, sc in the next 4 sc [12 SC]

R14 - 17
Ch1, 1 Sc in each sc around. Sl st on top of the first sc. [12 SC]

Fasten off and sew in the ends. Fold the cuff.
